L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Project Delivery Manager to provide overall leadership and management of the site deliverables on the Enterprise Network Modernisation Program (ENMP). In this role, the candidate will lead and manage delivery on the program, which requires working with the program and teammate leadership, as well as providing reports on program status to the customer, Airservices Australia. This role will be a full-time role working in Melbourne, Australia. This position will require travel to other offices to include Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra.

Essential Functions:
The successful candidate will report to the Program Manager for ENMP who is also based in Melbourne, Australia. The role requires a candidate who is entrepreneurial and comfortable leading a team in a highly dynamic, challenging and ambiguous environment with a very demanding customer. Must be experienced and comfortable leading change within large, complex systems engineering programs in Air Traffic management, defence or telecommunications.
The role requires an individual with the following qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present status/progress to senior management and key stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage and direct a team to achieve project objectives
- Ability to interact with stakeholders both within and outside of the immediate team to achieve results
- Ability to work with multiple teams, coordinate and consolidate inputs from partners, communicate progress / risks & mitigation plans / issuesto program leadership to predict and identify issues and perform advanced risk mitigation
- Experience with Project Management software, such as Microsoft Project and Jira
- Good knowledge of working with program and project teams on complex programs
- Familiarity with Project Management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Able to work and interface effectively at all levels in an organization
- A track record of developing and delivering complex cross-functional or enterprise-wide initiatives within the baselined schedule
- Proven ability to decompose problems to identify root cause and associated corrective actions
- Must be a team player and able to work with and through others
- Ability to communicate program goals and drive team execution to success
Duties may include the following:
- The Delivery Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of services to meet customer needs & ensure the project meets business requirements/specifications, within an established time frame
- In this role, the Delivery Manager will be working closely with the Tech Lead, Chief Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, Program Controls, Commercial and Contracts Manager, Finance, and Teammates.
- Leading a team of L3Harris and teammate (geographically dispersed) resources to proactively identify and remove project roadblocks to deliver on time and within budget.
- Promote team dynamics that provide high morale and project delivery in a high quality and timely manner
- The Delivery Manager must be able to guide on their team on agile best practices for work flow management.
- Ability to work with Project Engineer to develop detailed project schedules coordinating multiple parties to deliver projects on time and on schedule
- Provide informed reviews to ensure quality standards for all deliverables
- Leverage Project Management tools to provide insight / metrics to management for accurate project status and prepare asociated progress reports for management team
- Maintaining end-to-end accountability for customer satisfaction and overall delivery excellence
- Proactively manage resource (people/budget/schedule) needs to prevent work stoppage / delays.
- Managing and leading complex stakeholders towards optimal solutions while helping them understand resource constraints and prioritisation
- Continuous improvement of the site delivery approach with lessons learnt and process improvements to maximise resource utilisation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Business, Project Mgmt., Law) with a minimum of 12 years related experience, or equivalent industry experience; or Graduate degree (Engineering, Business, Project Mgmt) with a minimum of 10 years' related experience or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 7 years' experience leading and managing projects / programs
- Extensve experience leading Air Traffic, Defence or Telecommunications systems integration projects;
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Background in Systems Engineering and / or solution delivery
- Background in delivering Telecommunications projects within Australia
- Background in delivering projects into a regulated, safety critical industry such as Air Traffic or Rail within Australia
- Motivated self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial focus
