Overview
The successful applicant will take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of nominated projects within the highly exciting commercial construction works. The role adopts appropriate project management methods and tools to engage appropriate contractors to ensure the development of innovative built environment designs. The Project Manager manages the change control process and assesses and manages risks, whilst ensuring that realistic project plans and programs are maintained, and stakeholders receive regular and accurate communication.
Accountabilities
- Promote teamwork and provide tailored coaching to enable individuals to deliver high quality solutions and the achievement of project goals
- Actively engage and enable collaboration across teams and with a diverse range of stakeholders to negotiate inclusive and accessible solutions and achieve project goals
- Analyse problems, weigh up a range of options to identify accessible and inclusive solutions and translate complex issues into clear and understandable goals and targets for the project
- Establish systems and procedures and prepare and monitor project schedules and resources to monitor, track and input into progress status reports and manage changes as they arise
- Oversee, plan and implement detailed project plans and programs and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
- Plan for and manage project risk and issues and identify mitigations to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Use accepted theory and practices to develop and deploy continuous improvement actions to ensure implementation of continuous improvement strategies and measure and review project performance
- Actively promote and drive inclusive change using broad influencing skills to gain support, overcome barriers, gain stakeholder support and generate enthusiasm about change by keeping stakeholders informed and engaged in the project
- Develop and provide the necessary documentation and reporting to support the management and coordination of the program and/or project
Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in construction, architecture, engineering, project management; or
- Extensive experience and project management expertise in capital infrastructure and built environment projects.
- Knowledge of the property industry and significant experience at a senior level in project management and in the management of projects in large complex organisations
- Experience managing stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
- Knowledge of project methodology, tools practice
