Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager in a full-time permanent role based in Dandenong to join our collaborative and dynamic team. As a member of the team, you will facilitate efficiency and effective production and processing functions of the business, in a safe, accurate and timely manner. This is a terrific opportunity to join a fast-paced and creative team with an exciting pipeline of projects coming up. This position would suit an individual who has a strong work ethic and a desire for interesting, diverse, and challenging work.
About the role:
The role will see you responsible for coordinating multiple projects at any given time. You will be solely responsible for some projects and work with other Managers on larger projects. You will liaise with the client, manage client requests and variations, manage resources, expedite the delivery of equipment from suppliers, ensure accurate delivery times and standards, ensure overall project milestones are being met, report to management on project status, and liaise with Site Supervisor for installation and commissioning.
SOME OF YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Monitoring progress, performance and providing regular and accurate status reports to the General Manager
- Manage project deliverables and risk and scope and escalate where necessary
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
- Experience in industrial engineering e.g. fabricated equipment, stainless steel, and general fabrications
- Proficient in Solidworks sheet metal techniques including the creation of the flat pattern and experience in weldment drawings
- Excellent attention to detail with strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills
- Timely and accurate financial management of managed projects
- Ability to manage several projects consecutively
- Proactively review processes to innovate and continuously improve the customer journey and workplace experience
THE RIGHT PERSON
- Qualifications or experience in Project Management / Construction Management / Structural Engineering is essential
- A strong understanding of project management principles and the project lifecycle is essential
- Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, MS Project, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital, along with attention to detail
