With projects just commenced, and in the pipeline, an opportunity has opened up for experienced Leading Hands or Subforepersons to join our Heart of Willoughby project.
The right person for this role:
- You have a building or carpentry qualification, and can interpret construction documentation.
- You have 3 to 5 years’ experience on site in residential high or mid-rise construction.
- You have sound knowledge of key trades with a specialisation in finishes.
- You can be hands on and complete works without supervision.
- You have experience supervising subcontract works or labourers and can provide comprehensive updates to help the Site Supervisor or Manager status the program.
- Experience on commercial, aged care and hospitality projects is also desirable.
- You lead by example, share your knowledge and help others to succeed, always maintaining respect and adherence to Company values.
The responsibilities for this role:
- Assist with pre-starts, site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Ensure areas are ready for subcontractors to start work each day.
- Ensure works are compliant with construction drawings and plans.
- Adhere to and enforce WHS, Environmental and Quality requirements.
- Provide detailed daily reports to Supervisor.
- Use tools, equipment and machinery to assist teams to complete work.
- Coordinate activities on site under direction of Supervisor.
