We have exciting projects in the pipeline, and are looking for a Leading Hand to help us efficiently manage projects and our small team onsite.

As our company continues to grow, we are are looking for an experienced Carpenter who can confidently take on a Leading Hand role. Our work varies from residential to commercial projects, and as such no day is the same. With this variety, it is essential for the Leading Hand to have excellent understanding and skills across all aspects of carpentry, as well as the ability to manage projects and our small team onsite.
We pride ourselves on delivering work to a high standard, so attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is a must. Though our team is laid-back in personality, we work within a fast-paced work environment, so you will need to be efficient and driven and ensure each project is completed with excellence.
Working closely with our Director, Sam, this is a great opportunity if you're looking to grow in your leadership skills and take the next step in your carpentry career.
About the Role
Primarily working on new builds with the occasional renovation and deck, you'll be responsible for understanding and executing construction plans, supporting apprentices within the team, and ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality.
- Casual Position with Full-time hours (40+ hours per week)
- No work on weekends or public holidays
- Mostly Sunshine Coast work, with the occasional work in Gympie and Brisbane
- $40-50 p/hr + Super (rate dependent on experience)
What you’ll need
- Strong work ethic and high-quality workmanship
- Ability to take initiative, communicate clearly and follow through
- At least 4+ years experience as a Qualified Carpenter
- You must be reliable, and be available to work full-time hours
- Certificate III in Carpentry
- Working in the Construction Industry White Card
- Drivers Licence and ability to drive to and from job sites
- Your own trailer with tools
