About the role:
If you are an experienced Track Worker and looking to take that next step in your career, then this could be your opportunity. Working alongside some of the most respected Supervisors and Senior Supervisors at Aurizon, your hard work will be rewarded! Your responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate, lead, and contribute to the achievement of safety and environmental performance targets.
- Actively promote safe behaviour within the team and manage safety at the worksite.
- Implement strategies to minimize the risk of safety incidents.
- Undertake infrastructure track maintenance to specifications as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and develop new work practices.
- Responsible for taking the team out to the worksite and completing scheduled tasks.
- Ensure the team completes required tasks safely and on time.
- Report on work performed to supervisors.
- Travel across the network as required to support other teams during system closures.
- This is a very hands-on role; knowledge and experience in the rail industry are essential.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in the Rail Industry and Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure (Essential).
- Ability to work from home extensively.
- Current Driver's License – MR Class or above (Desirable).
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to lead diverse workgroups.
- Extensive knowledge of track maintenance, inspection standards, systems, and processes.
