Macmahon currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand – Tyre Fitter to join the maintenance team at the Foxleigh coal project located near Middlemount in the Bowen Basin on a 7:7 DIDO roster.
This is a five-year contract which encompasses the provision of mobile plant & maintenance services, including the maintenance of client owned equipment.
The role of the Leading Hand within Macmahon’s Foxleigh Project provides support to the Maintenance Supervisor whilst undertaking duties for the service and maintenance of all mobile plant in compliance with to site procedures and responsibilities under Queensland coal mine safety and health legislation.
About you:
2 + years’ experience in a similar role
Relevant trade qualifications.
RIIHAN 201A (forklift / tyre handler operation competency)
RIINP 0208A (Loader / tyre handler)
RIISAMT 10A (1031A, automotive cert R and I heavy equipment tyres)
RIISAMT 11A (1032A, automotive cert R and I heavy equipment tyres)
S1, S2 and S3
Senior First Aid
Demonstrated experience maintaining heavy mobile mining equipment
Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (preferred but not essential)
HR Drivers' License
Coal Board Medical
Standard 11
Drug & Alcohol Screen
Basic knowledge of QLD Mining and Safety Legislation
Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
Ability to work within a team environment.
