About the Role
CareSouth is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated Learning & Development Officer to join the CareSouth team. This role reports directly to the Learning & Development Leader. The role is a permanent full-time role, based in our purpose-built head office in Nowra.
As Learning & Development Officer, you will play a critical role in developing the capability of our workforce as well as supporting the delivery of L&D services to ensure they are aligned with business requirements, create impact and meet quality standards.
This role will be responsible for the maintenance of employee training records, and training calendar and assist to identify and review training needs for cohorts and individuals.
You will have strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with an ability to engage across all levels of the organisation.
The Successful Applicant will be able to demonstrate:
Essential
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with disability.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Behaviour/Development, Social Work, Community Services, Psychology, Adult Learning or Training and Assessment.
- Minimum of 3 years working in a similar position.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating Learning and Development activities using a variety of mediums and technologies.
- Possess highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively encourage and seek more efficient outcomes.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, maintain high levels of attention to detail, maintain documentation and record keeping and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- Well-developed computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as an understanding and experience in the use of databases and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to upholding confidentiality and privacy principles in the workplace.
- Willing to undergo a National Police History Check and obtain an Employee Working with Children Check clearance number.
- Current driver’s licence.
