Seeking a Learning & Development Coordinator based in Townsville, QLD.

We are seeking a Learning & Development Coordinator on a temporary full-time basis within the public sector in Townsville. Your new role
Safety and Training team and lead the Learning and Development team with one direct report.
You will:
- Follow reasonable directions to maintain business continuity of critical business activities in the event of an unplanned disruption, including but not limited to a disaster or event.
- Lead, develop and support a team to meet service expectations of the organisation, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the organisation to provide comprehensive advice, education and service delivery, whilst building strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead the development and implementation of learning / training development systems and projects as determined by the General Manager's Health, Safety and Training.
- Coordinate the council’s learning and development framework, including management of the learning management system (LMS).
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Training, Education, Leadership, Management or related discipline.
- Extensive experience working in a similar role in a diverse, multidisciplined organisation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading a team within a supportive and collaborative work culture.
- Previous experience in management of programs including the development and implementation of such.
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to drive change with key stakeholders and industries and solve complex problems through the design and implementation of effective solutions.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships, balancing multiple and diverse stakeholder needs, and delivering customer-centric solutions that also meet organisational objectives
