The purpose of this position is to create a culture of learning, compliance, and continuous improvement that drives desired business outcomes.
This position coordinates the delivery and assessment of accredited programs to internal and external customers and ensures compliant outcomes across all activity.
Training & Facilitation
- Timely and accurate coordination of training for external participants and internal employees (accredited and non accredited)
- Coordination of site based and classroom training
- Assessing how well proposed learning and development interventions address business needs, capability and individual needs
- Coordinating the delivery and review of learning initiatives
- Encouraging a supportive environment to enable newly acquired skills to be nurtured and to enable the transfer of learning to the workplace, this could include mentoring and coaching (formal and informal) arrangements.
- Timely preparation and submission of training and assessment records
- Reviewing completed training materials for completion and compliance
- Developing workplace learning resources to support and drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Conducting and managing recurrent learning activities
- Ensuring all training is conducted in compliance with Standards for Registered Training Organisations
- Ensuring training records are complete, and in line with Standards for Registered Training Organisations
- Conducting audits and coordinating rectification
- Assisting in the development and review of learning processes, policies and materials including assessment, evaluation and validation
- Providing support, information, directions and other information relating to learning and compliance, as required
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to achieve outcomes through liaison and negotiation.
- Data entry, computer literacy skills including a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office/O365 including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- High level of understanding of HSE and Quality Assurance processes.
- High level of understanding of VET compliance and processes.
- Previous experience in (but not limited to) being a trainer and assessor for RII, PUA, and HLT qualifications / competencies.
- Previous experience with coordination and/or management of trainers & assessors.
- Minimum competencies to operationally practice as an Emergency Services Officer.
- Eligibility and maintenance of Authority to Act as a Rescue Member on crew.
- Customer service and high-level interpersonal skills.
- A working knowledge of the Resources Industry and Emergency Response procedures.
- Minimum competencies requirements as per the Contract "Scope of Services".
- MR required, HR desirable after 12 months service, valid Australian License.

- A person with understanding of the implementation of relevant emergency response procedures. A dedicated person with proven experience in operational service delivery, and proven experience in training and assessment.
- The successful incumbent will have a proven track record to be able to work on assigned tasks independently and provide regular progress reports.
- Identify training and development needs in consultation with Contract Stakeholders, Team Supervisors, Paramedics and ESO's and SEO's directly.
- Develop individual training plans for all personnel in relevant contract.
- Develop, implement and manage the site skills maintenance training for all sites in the relevant contract.
- Provide employees with quality, timely and valid feedback and recognition.
- Management team and functional support networks.
- Provide guidance, coaching and professional development to all team members.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ensuring Site Supervisors are documenting training completed on site for reporting requirements to both client and Company.
- Ensure site-based training is conducted on regular basis and in schedule with monthly and annual training plans, and to ensure team operational readiness.
- Review and audit delivered training sessions to identify improvements opportunities and compliance to plan.
- Coordinate training scenarios across the portfolio to ensure constancy throughout crews and sites as aligned to Risk Profile.
