What this opportunity involves:

We are seeking for a Leasing Executive to join us in Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity to be working on one of our well-esteemed clients with a national portfolio.

Reporting to the National Retail Leasing Manager, you will provide comprehensive transaction manage for properties within your assigned portfolio.

You will be responsible for negotiating and overseeing the execution of lease documents and management of the relationship with our Client’s landlords.

You will be based on-site with our Client in their Brisbane CBD office with hybrid working.

What this role involves:

  • Responsible for the negotiation of retail Lease transactions, including incentives where applicable, on behalf of the client for lease renewals, relocations and refurbishments.
  • Responsible for negotiations of rents within market levels and to drive favourable portfolio outcomes for the Client.
  • Meeting all event deadlines in accordance with lease (critical date management).
  • In consultation with the National Retail Leasing Manager, develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures to ensure the best possible outcome for the Client.
  • Provide and review information sent to the Lease Administration team and ensure databases are accurate.
  • Responsible to ensure the leasing minutes are updated in a timely manner to incorporate all changes.
  • Responsible for ensuring CPI and fixed reviews are updated within Portfolio via the Lease Administration team.
  • Proactively liaise with the Lease Administration team to ensure all lease terms are reflected within the lease and incorporated in the database.
  • Prepare regular reports, within specified timeframes, detailing property status and performance including recommendations on Lease negotiations.
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with retail landlords and developers to ensure we are aware of opportunities in the market.
  • Proactively develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including as the main point of contact for designated portfolio.
  • Input into monthly rent roll variances and provide commentary on changes.
  • Primary contact point for Lease queries and disputes for designated portfolio.

  • You must have full working rights in Australia with the ability to undertake police and security checks
  • Relevant State Real Estate Certification or registration
  • At least 3 years of experience in Retail Leasing
  • Proven capacity to understand and interpret retail contracts and leases
  • Proven strategic operational and leadership skills (stakeholder management, financial acumen and interpersonal skills)
  • Experience with major corporate clients or landlord will be an added advantage
  • High level of attention to detail and quality standards
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Sound IT and Microsoft Excel proficiency
