Join our team as a Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Health. We are seeking a passionate individual to contribute to the education and development of future nursing professionals. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team and inspire the next generation of nurses.

The role of Lecturer (Teaching Academic) - Child and Adolescent Health primarily involves contributing to teaching and learning, maintaining and developing scholarly activities, and demonstrating a commitment to high-quality teaching practice. The ideal candidate will integrate research, scholarship, and professional practice into their teaching activities and display a commitment to teaching innovation. Additionally, the incumbent is expected to have a growing profile in teaching and service/leadership, potentially leading or coordinating the work of other staff, and possessing thorough knowledge of their subject within their discipline.

Selection Criteria

  1. A doctoral qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  2. Experience in Child and Adolescent Health.
  3. Be a Registered Nurse or Midwife in Australia.
  4. Demonstrated teaching skills and a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching delivery.
  5. An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
  6. An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching.
  7. Demonstrated experience / capacity to undertake unit coordination.
  8. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity.
  9. Demonstrated commitment to the application of relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position.
