We are establishing an open pool for vacancies that arise up to 31 December 2024. We may offer permanent or fixed term, full time, part time or casual appointments, with the possibility of a further term and/or permanency.

About the roleWe are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise in Workplace Health and Safety to plan, develop and deliver training and assessment to students in this study area.
The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements. Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery. In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.
Relevant Qualification and ExperienceTo be eligible for employment you must hold a minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. We also require that you have relevant operational industry experience. Experience in the Resources or Construction sectors will be highly regarded.
NMTAFE prefers lecturers to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, or TAE40110 and the additional skill sets referred to in Schedule 1, Item 2 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015. You are still eligible to apply if you do not yet hold these credentials. NMTAFE can support staff to complete the qualification.

Eligibility for employment is subject to you obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance and, if this position involves contact with children, a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
