You will undertake investigations of workplace incidents and accidents and be required to contribute to the welfare of students, staff and volunteers by providing first aid as needed and within your level of training, experience, the Department’s provisions on first aid in the workplace and the relevant OHS Legislation. In addition, it is highly important to ensure records are completed and maintained for all injuries, illnesses incidents and accidents.Coodanup College provides senior schooling for over 800 students in the Mandurah region. • Well developed project management skills with the ability to develop, implement and evaluate health and Wellbeing programs.
• Knowledge and understanding of WHS legislation, policy and practices.
• Relevant knowledge and expertise in First Aid and associated qualifications.
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels and in emergency situations.
• Well developed computer application skills, including a working knowledge of word processing and development and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets.

• hold a current certificate in Occupational First Aid Skill Set (HLTSS00068)
• consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment;
• obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
• complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
• complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
• complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
• complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
