ARMA Group is seeking a highly motivated Legal Account Manager to join our Adelaide based team and play a vital role in maintaining the critical portfolios of our Local Government clients.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills, including emotional intelligence and the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Knowledge of debt collection and recovery litigation processes will also be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with our legal partner and identify opportunities to increase referrals to strengthen ARMA position and strategic alignment.
• Attend to in-bound calls where required.
• Manage a portfolio of matters.
• Issue legal matters and enforcement processes.
• Provide client reports as required.
• Maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, and specifically compliance and legal teams to ensure the actions taken within this role are fully compliant with legislative and regulatory expectations.
Requirements
• Knowledge of debt collection process and understanding of debt recovery litigation processes preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and a quick learner of database platforms.
• Accurate keyboard skills and proven ability to enter data at the required speed.
• Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures.
• Developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence, specifically in displaying respect and empathy.
• Proactive approach to developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience in a collections role, paralegal/legal administration role, or currently undertaking a Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience would be very highly regarded.

Skills and experience
OBL shall provide on-the-job training in respect of our systems and documents. Previous experience in a legal or debt collection setting is favourable though not essential. The position would be ideal for a law student who wants to also obtain exposure to, and experience in, the private legal sector (full time position). However, our over-riding focus is to secure a candidate that has the above core values and skills.
