Part time Legal Administrative Assistant
The Opportunity
We are a small boutique legal firm located in the heart of Parramatta. We pride ourselves on the personal approach we have with our clients. To do this, we need the services of professional, mature and motivated staff who are like-minded and will play a pivotal role in the administration and daily duties of our firm.
The Role
- Administration support for Principal lawyer
- Mail inward/outward
- Assisting with Diary Management
- Assisting with Client File Management
- Scanning, emailing, filing and archiving and general administrative assistance
- Liaising with clients via email, phone and in person
- Liaising with legal, medical, insurance and government agencies
- Dealing with court correspondence, documents and online lodgements
- Ordering stationery and upkeep of office
- General MYOB AO/AE database maintenance (experience preferred but not necessary)
- General and ad-hoc office maintenance duties
- Training will be provided.
About you
Ideally you will have:
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and in particular Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Attention to detail and typing skills;
- High level communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in utilising online portals and uploading documents;
- A positive energy with a can-do attitude;
- Ability to learn and develop competence with legal practice management systems and legal document production;
- Prior office experience is not essential but a proven track record working within a team administrative environment will be advantageous;
- Motivation with a mature and proactive attitude;
- Be able to work autonomously and take responsibility of the role;
- Present professionally at all times;
- Ability to work well under pressure;
- Experience with MYOB AO/AE an advantage but not essential
