Job description

We are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Legal Administrative Assistant to support our busy, high-performing Corporate practice group within our Brisbane CBD office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to add an enormous amount of value to the day-to-day efficient running of the practice by immersing yourself in the team and will gain satisfaction from seeing your hard work make a difference.

The Role

With no two days the same, the tasks you will be responsible for are;

  • Opening and closing matters, conducting conflict searches
  • Matter management to keep the team on top of their deadlines
  • Attending to time entries, processing third party invoices, monthly billing and reporting
  • Preparation of documents including letters, contracts and general correspondence
  • Attending to ASIC and other third party Due Diligence searches and filings
  • General adhoc administrative duties such as document management and diary management  

To succeed in this role you will ideally have;

  • Previous experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant/Legal Secretary, ideally within Corporate/Commercial
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise to ensure deadlines are met
  • High level of attention to detail whilst working in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to working with systems (FileSite and Expert desirable), with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also autonomously at times
  • Strong work ethic
