Legal and Risk Team Support Officer
Co-ordinate, administer and monitor processes to give timely and effective service to Horizon Power's Legal and Risk Team, which provides legal, governance, risk, audit, compliance, insurance, freedom of information and Company Secretariat support to Horizon Power.

Your role will include:

  • Co-ordinate with the relevant subject matter experts in the Legal and Risk Team the delivery of the governance, legal, audit, risk, compliance, insurance, freedom of information and Company Secretariat activities of the Team.
  • Support Company Secretariat activities for Horizon Power's Board of Directors including drafting and co-ordinating team Board submissions in line with deadlines, liaising with Board directors as required, organising meeting and travel logistics, and acting for the Assistant Company Secretary when required.
  • Provide administrative support for Legal team activities including data entry, managing records, organising meetings, updating intranet content (SharePoint), and maintaining legal database of documents and emails.
  • Process invoices, credit card reconciliations, and monitor the team's budget.
  • Administer legal, governance and compliance registers, including for bank guarantees, conflicts of interest declarations, delegated financial authority approvals, gift declarations, original executed documents, online compliance register, code of conduct acknowledgements and corporate policies.
  • Co-ordinate Privacy Officer and Freedom of Information (FOI) responses, the annual insurance renewal process and delivery of internal training and workshops.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to respond to queries, seek information and responses for annual compliance activities and insurance renewal process.

You will have:

  • Post Secondary education qualification in business, law or a related field or the equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced level of word processing, computer and keyboard skills
  • Prior use of risk and task management systems such as CURA, SAFETRAC and Diligent.
  • Prior use of legal matter management software LEX.
