THE FIRM
We are recruiting on behalf of an established boutique generalist law firm in Melbourne CBD. While relatively young in approach and outlook, they have built a solid reputation as a strong team of talented practitioners from top-tier and in-house environments. Their teams are led by highly respected practitioners, many of whom have been recognised as among the best in their fields.
THE ROLE
This role will see you supporting one new Partner, a Senior Associate, and a Lawyer who specialise in Family Law. Your main duties will include but are not limited to:
Opening & archiving matters;
Document production (court documents, estate planning documents, correspondence);
High level of interpersonal and communication skills;
Managing fee earners WIP (billable time);
Maintaining client confidence by keeping client/fee earner information confidential; and
Billing.
There are 3 additional admins and a paralegal in this team so a great opportunity to focus on more Legal tasks.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role you will have at least 3 years proven experience working in a Legal Assistant position, ideally within Family Law. In addition to this you will have:
Excellent organisational skills;
Motivated and take initiative;
Bubbly and want to get involved in team activities;
Excellent verbal and written communication; and
Ability to work under deadlines.
