Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Lawyers with various administrative tasks
- Attending Court to copy and collect documents
- Diary management and scheduling
- Delivering briefs and managing files
- Archiving and general administrative duties
- Interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders
- At least 3 years experience as a Legal Assistant, no law students as we are looking for a career Legal Assistant
- 2 to 3+ years of experience in a comparable position within a reputable organization
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
- Attention to detail and proficient typing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Desire to work in a legal office environment and potential interest in pursuing further studies, such as a Certificate in Business Administration
- Ability to adapt and learn legal practice management systems and document production processes
- Prior office experience is advantageous but not essential; team-oriented individuals are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in file opening and document management
- Ability to handle reception duties, including answering phones
- Familiarity with office management tasks such as invoicing and supply ordering
- Experience in drafting letters and interacting with clients
- Competency in filing court documents, including proficiency in online filing platforms like Redcrest
- Skilled in diary management and organizing appointments, including scheduling Zoom meetings
- Capability to prepare briefs for Counsel, court books, chronologies, and spreadsheets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong technical knowledge and effective communication skills
- Experience with LEAP practice management software and Xero accounting software would be advantageous
- Background in bookkeeping, accounting, or related fields will be highly regarded
