About the role An exciting opportunity exists for an eager and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office and provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our solicitors. This role will float amongst the organisation, depending on business needs, and is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of legal work as you rotate between six our different branches, covering a vast array of areas of legal expertise: Commercial, Property & Technology Litigation & Dispute Resolution Police Advisory Public Law & Planning Inquiries, Prosecutions & Administrative Law Workplace Relations & Occupational Safety Responsibilities Preparing correspondence and court documents – drafting and typing (dictaphone) Amending & formatting documents File management – maintaining orderly, up to date legal files in electronic and hard copy format Diary and email management…
