APAC Legal is part of a global team of dedicated legal professionals and is a partner to both business and functional stakeholders within the company. The team supports the commercial needs of Blackhawk's Commerce and Incentive business and assists with procurement. The team also advises on all aspects of regulatory compliance as required.
You are a member of the APAC Legal team. You provide legal and regulatory support to the APAC business, focused on APAC countries including Australia. You would be responsible for completing commercial agreements with some of the biggest APAC brands while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- A lead lawyer for Commerce and/or Incentive files in Australia and APAC
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Mitigating legal risks
- Keeping the team up to date with respect to all material legal matters
- Adhoc duties as required including, competition law, disputes and training the business, company secretarial work
- Build strong relationships with business teams.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years PQE experience, preferably with in house experience
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to Blackhawk's business (including financial services regulation and payments) would be an asset
- Experience with negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, including those related to technology-related products and services
- Manage projects and competing priorities, stakeholders and deadlines
- Willing to take responsibility and make decisions.
- Analyze complex issues, propose effective solutions, and understand and apply vision and direction
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal clients, external clients, external counsel and the global Legal team
