We have a new opportunity for an experienced person to join our Legal Support Team. This is a full-time role that will suit an individual looking for a stable career as a legal admin/secretary, paralegal, or a hybrid of both. As such, we are open to applications from a range of candidates, including law students seeking to further their professional experience while they study.
The duties of our Legal Support Team include:
- Providing admin support to our director and solicitors
- Preparation of letters, documents and Court forms
- Transcribing dictations
- Providing support at Court appearances and mediations
- Assisting with reception such as greeting clients and in-person enquiries
- Handling phone enquiries and outbound calls as directed
- General office tasks such as scanning, filing, printing, processing mail, etc
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Some experience in a Family Law Firm or office environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office programs
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong work ethic and a proven history of learning
- A professional and friendly nature with clients and other staff
Experience with FilePro or similar legal management programs is also desirable.
