About the role
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Casual Leisure and Activities Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing leisure and recreational programs for our residents. This role offers a unique opportunity to create engaging activities that contribute to the overall well-being and happiness of our residents.
Your main duties will include:
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of leisure and recreational activities for residents, taking into consideration their interests, abilities, and preferences
Organize group outings, social events, and entertainment programs to promote social interaction and engagement
Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure activities are tailored to meet the individual needs of residents
Assist in the preparation and decoration of common areas for special events and holidays
About you
Certificate IV Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification
Certificate III in Aged Care is desirable
Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for older people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities
Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box when planning activities
