About the roleIn this role, you will work from the City’s two largest Leisure centres based in Norlane and Waurn Ponds. You will provide point of entry contact with patrons of the centre, assisting them with a range of administrative tasks, point of sale for merchandise, the selling of memberships and the answering of phone calls to the centre. The role requires the availability to work on weekends.

Classification: Band 2 $40.58 per hour (including casual loading)
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide timely and quality service to customers.
- Perform timely and quality completion of reception and administrative functions.
- Promotion and sales of Centre programs, services, and memberships.
- Merchandise and retail area stock and displays.
About youThe ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in a sales or reception role, with strong administrative skills. You will have a welcoming and engaging personality, enjoy liaising with a diverse range of people and working in a fast paced environment. You will have high levels of resilience, be self motivated and enjoy finding practical solutions to problems.
Essential Experience:
- Ability to use computer programs, including word processing, point of sale systems and spreadsheet software.
- Well-developed customer service skills including personal and telephone reception.
- Skills in cash handling at point of sales.
- Good communication skills of an order sufficient to effectively communicate orally and in writing with Centre customers, Council employees, members of the public, and suppliers.
- Experience in Perfect Gym Software highly desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of aquatic/fitness industry highly desirable
- Preferred candidates will be required to complete a National Police Check and undergo a Medical Assessment as part of the recruitment process.
