The Opportunity
As a Lending Consultant (LC), within the Direct to Customer Team (DTC) of the Real Estate Credit division of La Trobe Financial, your role is to assist potential customers enquiring about La Trobe Financials’ finance offerings. You will be required to handle the enquiries that are received through either channel and assist with the entire application process after completing a preliminary assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to enquiries from potential customers who are seeking lending with La Trobe Financial
- Identifying whether potential customers are genuine leads and efficiently converting them to application submissions
- Assessment of enquiries of individual, company, trust, construction, SMSF, & LLC loans and preparing loan applications as required
- Submission of packaged loan applications that are of high quality of notes, structure, and documentation required for assessment
- Demonstrating due diligence and attention to detail; reviewing and extracting information from documentation, such as income & financial statements, trust deeds and identification documents, to confirm creditworthiness
- Ensuring compliance with all policies, legislation, and regulations is upheld for all processes and procedures
- Working closely with Credit Analysts, Team Leaders and Credit Leads to workshop applications.
- Articulating and communicating credit decisions or workshops to applicants
- Providing outstanding and professional customer service to the direct customers and internal stakeholders
- Building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with direct customers, internal & external stakeholders
- Adherence to the Customer Service Charter
- Attending to general stakeholder enquiries
- Providing insights and suggestions for possible process and operational improvements
- Management and cleanliness of JIRA pipelines.
About You
- A degree in a business-related field, or previous experience in the banking/finance industry is preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in retail lending will be advantageous
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A fluid approach to negotiating, decision making and relationship building
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team, in a high-pressure work environment
