The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Junior Computer Technician to join our high-performance team on a 6 month fixed term basis, working part-time. This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their career or a student looking to grow and gain work experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing fast and detail-oriented customer service support, and fostering long-term relationships with our employees.
Your core focus will be providing onsite technical support services to our people and be working in our office that is conveniently located near Parliament station, in Melbourne CBD.
Reporting to the Head of Technology, some of your accountabilities will include:
- Responding to end-user technology and hardware issues.
- Acting as a liaison between our staff and our third party I.T. provider. for incident resolution, issue resolution, and change requests.
- Carry out audits of devices and reconciliations using Microsoft Intune.
- Support staff with software or hardware queries.
- Provide mobile device support.
- Roll up your sleeves and be responsible for building laptops standard operating environment from Microsoft Intune.
- Providing meeting room AV support.
- Assist us when we relocate our premises.
- Provide assistance with project-based work when required.
As this is an onsite role, the days you will work will be our corporate days which are Tuesday to Thursday each week.
This role provides a great opportunity to attain practical experience in the IT sector for a person who may be ending their studies or an individual who is at the beginning of their career.
About you:
You will be a standout candidate if you have:
- Bachelor of Computer Science or similar, or working towards qualification
- Experience with Windows 10 and 11 a must, experience with Microsoft Intune highly valued
- Other technical education certificates may also be considered.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
