The Library Assistant position contributes to the overall maintenance and development of the Library and assists customers with basic library enquiries.
This position will work under close direction and supervision.
- This is a Casual position based at the Toowoomba City Library.
- The hourly rate for this position is $28.85 - $32.51 gross per hour, plus casual loading and superannuation.

. * Basic oral and written communication and numeracy skills.
- Basic computer literacy skills including the capacity to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications, and the ability to learn the Library Management System.
- Excellence in customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
- Basic time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
