About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Library Assistant to join our College community. As the Library Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high quality administrative and support to staff and students to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the College Library.
The role requires passion and patience to support and provide best-practice advice and will be required to be responsive but most importantly, have the right attitude to learn, be a team player and above all, serve our Christ-centred community. The role operates both autonomously and under the guidance and direction of the Head of Library.
This is a Permanent Full-Time, Term Time Only position, commencing Term 2, 2024.
About You
- Previous experience working in libraries (school, public or tertiary)
- Experience or familiarity with Library Management Systems
- Demonstrated computer skills
- A flexible attitude with a willingness to learn new skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a friendly persona
- Be willing to work between the hours of 8AM to 6PM
- Actively support the College's Christian ethos
- The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
- Regularly practicing member of a Christian church
