About the role

The Library Technology and Innovation Coordinator will primarily coordinate and lead innovation and technology for all the Inner West libraries. Responsible for policy development, you will monitor current and future trends in relation to Library Technology, coordinate and liaise with Library Technology suppliers, ensure the efficient and smooth operation of all Library Technology and liaise with branch and systems librarians, programming, history and collections staff to develop a contemporary library service. You will also act as the key liaison between Council’s ICT department and the libraries.

Remuneration

$92,973.92 - $110,097 + 11% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

  1. Degree or higher in IT or Library and Information Services recognised by the Australia Library & Information (ALIA) or equivalent or tertiary qualifications in a related discipline with experience to meet essential experience or skills criteria.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with information management systems including implementation, technology troubleshooting, replacement and enhancements.
  3. Demonstrated skills in IT planning and analysis, and ability to advocate IT applications in libraries.
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change for a diverse Library ICT team and its functions to achieve outcomes that address current challenges for the IWC and its commitments to the community.
  5. Demonstrated experience liaising with and managing contractors, & suppliers.
