About You:
You will oversee every facet of the hotel, including bars, food services, functions, gaming, and promotions. Your role involves shaping and guiding your team to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere through exceptional service and ensuring consistent financial success. As the hotel's representative, you will nurture relationships with local organisation such as the Liquor Accord, Police, council, business groups, neighbors, and customers.
The prospective Licensee GM candidate should possess the following qualities:
- Demonstrates honesty and professionalism.
- Capable of establishing and upholding the highest standards while collaborating effectively with owners.
- Willing to lead the team from the forefront.
- Possesses a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Prioritizes hotel presentation and places a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Manages all operational and financial aspects of the venue, overseeing the pub, cocktail bar, and gaming sections.
- Ensures compliance with regulations from Liquor & Gaming and local Police law/guidelines/policies/procedures.
- Collaborates with managers to maintain venue upkeep.
- Conduct regular stock takes, and ensure the accuracy of the POS system on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Controls roster budgets for shifts.
- Ensures completion of all back-of-house reporting and cash handling to an exceptional standard, including daily and weekly reports and DTS.
- Provides in-house training for staff on company values, procedures, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Manages functions by overseeing all aspects of business, including quotes, reservation bookings and run sheets, etc.
- Participates in weekly management meetings, contributes to marketing initiatives, and provides regular reports.
- Ensures the completion of daily opening and closing checklists for managers.
- Adheres to staff policies and ensures compliance with the venue's house policy on a daily basis.
- Build and maintain relationships with Suppliers and rotate wine and cocktail list on a regular basis to maintain relevance.
Please apply if you possess:
- Previous experience as a Licensee/General Manager (preferred but not essential).
- 3-5 years in a management role in hospitality.
- Robust experience within the Gaming industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on leadership approach, leading by example.
- Flexibility with hours and availability on weekends.
