We have an exciting and creative opportunity to join the Infinite Care team in the role of Lifestyle Assistant. This Full-time position reports to the Facility Manager with the supervision of our Lifestyle Coordinator at our Aged Care Ipswich - Nursing Homes Ipswich | Infinite Care (infin8care.com.au) facility. This position is pivotal to the wellbeing and engagement of our residents and requires an up-beat and fun-loving individual to ‘bring to life’ our resident-centric lifestyle programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, Implement and roll out Lifestyle programs and assessing the engagement and enjoyment of the resident
- Assist the Lifestyle Coordinator to develop Lifestyle programs
- Coordinate activities (internal and external to the facility) to cater for all aspects of our resident’s home environment including the social, religious and cultural requirements of each individual.
- Provide input during resident care assessments to enable individualised, holistic, resident-centric programs
- Assist with facility communications and organising all individual and facility celebrations (eg: Birthdays, Christmas, etc)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, facility team members, volunteers and local community groups
- Manage and document risk for the facility and ensure a commitment to continuous improvements.
About you
- High School Diploma or equivalent additional certifications or vocational training
- 1 year’s experience in a similar role
- You will have innate empathy for our residents and be committed to continually improving the quality of care and the social environment provided to them.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- A confident team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A thoughtful, compassionate, collaborative, fun and positive approach with a creative flare and the ability to light up a room!
- Have a valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to apply via How to apply | NDIS).
