Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am looking for a team of Lifestyle Assistants to help me in becoming more secure, and comfortable in my environments and in managing my emotional health. I have recently had a very big change in my life, and due to this, I will need a lot of assistance with assisting me get back into a routine and settling back into my house with my new team of Lifestyle Assistants. I am fun, energetic and love having chats with everyone. I am looking for people that are able to listen, understand and get to know me. I live by myself, and am supported at all times throughout the day, so my support workers are the people that I count on to help me with aspects of my daily living, going for outings, and attending my appointments.

About the position
As the Lifestyle Assistant you will provide high quality support to people with disabilities and complex behaviours. This involves undertaking a broad range of duties which includes personal care, medication administration, household tasks, administrative functions and above all, engaging and supporting participants to live their best life.
About you
You have extensive experience supporting people with mental health, intellectual impairment and challenging behaviours.
You have an in depth understanding and experience of trauma informed care, have the ability to build rapport, develop awareness of participant triggers and to deescalate situations.
You are patient, empathetic and are truly passionate about helping people, and supporting their goals to realisation.
Position Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Manual handling is a requirement of the role.
- Experience with complex and challenging behaviours is a must.
- Willing to support our customers with domestic duties.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in report writing.
- Capacity to meet physical requirements of the job.
- Current driver’s license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current NDIS Worker Screen.
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Current First aid and CPR Certificates.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or higher.
- Current Police Check.
- COVID-19 vaccination.
- Maybo training preferred
- Willingness to do sleepover shifts and work weekends.
