AddressOur client is seeking dynamic and compassionate Lifestyle Officers to join their team in Port Macquarie!
We have two exciting positions available:
- 1 Permanent Lifestyle Officer
- 1 Permanent Part-Time Lifestyle Officer
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with our residents in a range of meaningful lifestyle and social activities to empower them to maintain their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a personalised program that fosters resident independence and well-being, reflecting the values of person-centred care.
- Tailor activities to meet individual needs and cognitive and physical abilities and encouraging participation in both individual and group settings.
- Ensure residents receive appropriate assessments including their life history that will form part of their integrated care plan.
- Organise programs and activities across leisure, lifestyle, learning, and spiritual aspects to enrich the lives of residents and their families.
- Coordinating outings that allow residents to stay in communication and have meaningful relationships within their chosen community in a safe and healthy way.
Requirements:
- Cert IV in Leisure and Health and/or relevant tertiary degree – (Essential)
- Demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety principles.
- Ability to assess residents’ psychological, social, and emotional needs to identify any barriers to participation in lifestyle activities.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families/representatives.
- Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care and associated accreditation requirements.

As per mandatory requirements for Aged Care roles, a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, is required to undertake the inherent requirements of this position.
