The key to being successful at Pelham Strata Lawyers is being able to build and maintain a relationship, not meet billable hour targets.
To qualify for the position of a Litigation Lawyer at Pelham Strata Lawyers, you must hold a law practicing certificate or are about to be admitted. The successful candidate will be exposed to and assist on the following types of matters:
- domestic building defect claims across Victoria, including Falls Creek and Mt Buller;
- commercial litigation and dispute resolution;
- debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy work; and
- development set up, re-structuring and rejuvenation.
The role will involve liaising directly with clients and communicating with VCAT and the Courts. It will also encompass advising on and resolving disputes arising between Developers, Builders, Owners Corporations, their managers, third party contractors to Owners Corporations and any other person who may be affected by an Owners Corporation. You will report to and work with the Principal of the firm. You will have a reasonable amount of autonomy to run your files.
This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, wants to learn and wants to succeed. To be considered you must have good communication skills, the ability to learn and use your own initiative when called for.
