Little Penguin ELC Kilsyth is a brand new purpose built multi level centre. We are licensed for 90 children across 6 rooms. We are committed to proving the highest quality care for all children. We over ratio in our 0-2year old rooms with a ratio of 1 Educator to 3 children.
About the Role
Our brand-new Early Learning Centre in Kilsyth are currently recruiting for a passionate 3year old Kindergarten Teacher.
Key role responsibilities will include but will not be limited to;
- Planning, implementing and evaluating programs through your strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS);
- Leading a team of educators ensuring the highest quality of care is provided for our children across all our rooms; (Educational Leader)
- Engaging with children through activities and experiences appropriate for age groups and stages of development;
- Motivating and supporting a team of educators to meet our quality principles of curriculum and documentation;
- Building and maintaining a team-oriented approach by being open to different views, receptive to feedback and reflective upon best practice;
- Bringing a friendly, mature and professional approach to everything you do;
- Ensuring your room is safe, welcoming and a space that children, educators and parents want to be in.
What you will bring
- Creativity and a proven ability to lead and motivate a team of educators
- Be a team player with a "can do" attitude
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to develop strong relationships with children and families
- ACECQA approved qualification
- Bachelor of Early Years Education or Equivalent: Hold a recognized qualification in early childhood education.
- VIT Registration: Full or provisional registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
- VEYLDF Knowledge: Understand the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain them
- Current Child Protection Training
