Position Overview: HW Greenham is seeking a skilled and experienced Livestock Supervisor to lead our dedicated team of 10-15 staff across 2 shifts. The Livestock Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, welfare, and productivity of our livestock, while also overseeing day-to-day operations and coordinating with the plant manager and group Livestock management team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the care and management of livestock, including feeding, watering, health monitoring, and handling.
2. Lead and motivate a team of 10-15 staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
3. Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
4. Oversee the scheduling of staff across 2 shifts, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient operations.
5. Collaborate with the plant manager and group Livestock management team to develop and implement strategies to optimize livestock performance and productivity.
6. Maintain accurate records of livestock inventory, health status, productivity, and staff schedules.
7. Monitor environmental conditions and implement measures to ensure the comfort and well-being of livestock.
8. Coordinate with veterinarians and other specialists to address health issues and implement preventive measures.
9. Utilize Microsoft Office applications for record-keeping, reporting, and communication purposes.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in livestock management, with demonstrated supervisory experience.
2. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

7. Availability to work some weekends as required.
