Job description
As a Local Laws Officer with experience in Animal Management, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the community's safety and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include enforcing Local Laws and regulations, undertaking investigations, and promoting responsible pet ownership. This role requires a blend of fieldwork and administrative duties, offering a dynamic work environment.

Hourly rate: $39.21 + super
Weekly pay

2-month assignment with potential to extend

What We Trust You to Deliver:
Effective enforcement of Local Laws and regulations
Timely response to community concerns and complaints
Promotion of responsible pet ownership and compliance with the Domestic Animals Act 1994
Collection of evidence, preparation of court briefs, and technical advice for successful prosecutions
Proactive identification and resolution of community issues
What You Will Need to Thrive:
Experienced in Local Government legislation, regulations, and policies
Proficient in conflict resolution and customer service, particularly in challenging situations
Skilled in verbal and written communication
Capable of interpreting legislation and understanding the Road Transport Act 2013
Experience in Animal Management (desirable)
Comfortable working around animals, particularly cats and dogs
Experience in an investigative role, including evidence collection and preparation of briefs (desired)
