The Local Laws Officer - Animal Management plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and amenity of the Camberwell community by enforcing Local Laws, Animal Management services, and parking regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce Local Laws, Animal Management services, and Parking regulations to ensure community compliance and safety.
- Investigate complaints related to Local Laws and undertake enforcement actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular park patrols, engaging with the community on responsible pet ownership.
- Prepare and manage documentation for prosecutions and court evidence.
- Provide superior customer service, responding promptly to enquiries and managing cases efficiently.
About You:
- Completion of a recognised course in Animal Management, enforcement, Local Laws, justice, or similar.
- Broad technical knowledge of compliance or local law issues, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in high-pressure customer service environments.
- Proficiency in law enforcement procedures, including evidence collection and report preparation.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve issues empathetically.
- Physically capable of handling animals and walking long distances.
- Current Victorian driver's licence with satisfactory pre-employment medical, police, and Working with Children checks.
- Excellent ambassadorial skills for community interaction, supporting events such as Pet Expos and Micro-chipping days.
