We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our highly productive Local Laws Team as a full time permanent Local Laws Officer. This role will assist in administering and enforcing Council's regulatory functions in accordance with relevant Acts, Local Laws, council policies and its corporate plan. This position will suit a team player with excellent communication and time management skills.

Essential
A current driver licence and ‘Employee’ working with children check.
ExperienceEssential
Previous animal handling experience, including livestock and domestic pets.
DesirableCertificate IV in Statutory Compliance, or willing to obtain.
Previous experience in a regulatory and/or enforcement role would be highly desirable.
Key selection criteria 1Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key selection criteria 2The ability to read and interpret relevant legislation and regulations, with the ability to explain requirements to the public.
Key selection criteria 3A friendly and approachable manner, with the proven ability to gain cooperation and work as part of a team.
