AddressA locum junior registrar in General Surgery with a minimum of 3 years experience working as a surgical registrar in Australia or New Zealand is sought to provide cover from February 5th - 15th 2024 inclusive. This post is based in a well equipped health campus in the Australian outback. This position is open to applicants who are AHPRA registered and have the right to work in Australia.
Role Duties:
In this position you will be expected to:
- work under the delegated authority of a consultant surgeon
- assess and treat patients referred to the surgical department
- conduct daily ward rounds
- manage acute and emergency cases
- supervise house officers
- work a shift system
- cover the on call rota
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application for this Locum Registrar role, we will be looking to identify the following in your curriculum vitae and recent history:
- a medical degree
- Experience - PGY5+
- 3 years surgical registrar experience in Australia and / or New Zealand
- AHPRA registration
- the right to work in Australia
Remuneration
- a daily rate of AUD $2450 per day
- Flights – Up to $1500 return economy flights – approval in advance
- Car – Fuel on receipt ONLY
- Taxi Vouchers provided to and from hospital and Airport
- Hotel accommodation is provided by site if on-site accommodation is not available.
- Hire car is provided by site if fleet vehicle is not available.
