Medical Secretary - Specialist Practice

Job Details:

• Work as a full time Medical Secretary for a General Surgical Practice
• Great opportunity to join a varied practice involving both public and private General Surgery
• Mainly located in private rooms located within Galliers Specialist Centre, Armadale Hospital
• 30-40 hrs per week, flexible
• Monday to Friday (no Weekends)
• Stable long term position, working for a single surgeon
• Close to public transport. On site staff parking available.
• Supportive and friendly team

Responsibilities:

• Reception duties: taking phone calls and booking appointments
• Running clinics and processing payments
• Co-ordination of theatre lists
• General administration duties as required

Attributes required:

• Experience as a Medical Receptionist / Secretary, ideally in a Specialist Surgical environment
• Be friendly and compassionate, interacting with a wide range of people
• Reliable and punctual
• Some experience with Eftpos, Medicare and Eclipse Health Fund billing
• Computer literacy essential, ideally experience with Gentu software 
• Medical typing experience desirable

Hours:

• 30 - 40 hrs per week (flexible)
• 8 -5 pm, Monday - Friday (flexible)

Commensurate with experience
