We have an outstanding opportunity for a Logistics Administrator who is seeking a challenging role within the FMCG industry. This role will see you joining a high-performance team who work brilliantly together.
Within this role you will look after international deliveries where you will work closely with the Operations and Sales Managers and ensure all international sales contracts and orders are delivered on time.
This role is ideal for someone who loves a role that requires high attention to detail where you are able to organise and juggle things!
Day to day duties include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor and Sales Manager
- Plan shipments and deliveries and execute ensuring timely delivery of freight and product
- Manage relationship with freight forwarders
- Work with Factory to release goods - ensuring goods are available and product is there in time to be loaded and invoices from Factory are correct
- Coordinate container movements
- Trouble shoot shipments gone wrong
- Monitor containers on the water and keep customers informed if they have been delayed or diverted for any reason
- Liaise with customer to confirm delivery ensuring full documentation has been completed and is correct
- Liaise with international suppliers who have their own logistics people to generate the correct documents for your customers
- Understand the different types of customers – some have credit limits, some pay deposits and cash prior to delivery, some are on specific 12 month contracts, etc
- Check credit limits for customers, chase customer deposits and payment prior to product being delivered
- Letters of credit
- Generate international shipping documentation as required by importing country requirements and Australian laws
- Deal with documentation such as Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading, etc
- At times you will liaise with customers directly – the ability to be diplomatic where required but also go above and beyond for clients to ensure their needs are met
- Assist in resolution of disputes
- Ad hoc administrative and logistics tasks
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ideally you will have some experience in import, export or general logistics environment however we are open to a strong administrator with an interest of getting into the logistics industry
- Experience and understanding working with international and domestic freight and the associated documentation (export, container loads, have dealt with freight forwarders etc) beneficial but not essential
- Understanding of legislation, Australian export requirements and importing customer requirements a bonus
- Preferably you will have experience working in the FMCG industry
- You describe yourself as passionate, driven and have a can-do attitude!
- Must be structured and organised
- Proven experience using Excel, any experience in SAP would be a bonus
- Pro-active
- High level attention to detail – you take pride in your work
