Job Description – Logistics co-ordinator
Gold Star International ‘GSI’ is a trader of Agricultural commodities based in Sydney Australia. GSI sources commodities from a vast network of growers, packers’ sellers and services number of ports across the globe.
GSI is looking for an experienced or quick learner logistics co-ordinator to manage timely execution of sales orders. The day-to-day activities will not be only limited to the below:
- Co-ordinating with packers/ sellers / growers.
- Co-ordinating grower deliveries, internal freight logistics, sea freight, container releases, bookings, documentation etc.
- Managing the documentation team for timely presentation of documents.
- Liaising with banks for timely presentation of documents to customers
- Assistance to senior trader with managing the sales execution.
- Liaising with customers for Import Permits, documentation, payment collection etc.
- Assistance with stock reporting / management reporting / Accounts receivables / accounts payables etc.
Candidate will ideally possess the following experience and attributes:
- Strong communication skills are a must for the role
- A strong ability in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Quick learner with can do attitude is required
- Tertiary qualification/s from an recognised university are preferred.
- Experience in commodity trading and/or logistics will be a bonus.
- Road or rail freight experience would also be seen as a benefit.
- A team player who is willing to adopt to a small team environment.
