The Role
The Logistics Governance Officer (APS 4) will work within the Materiel Logistics Function and is responsible to the Governance Officer for the delivery of Logistics Compliance and Assurance Services for GWEO-DD such as:
- Provide support to the conduct of internal and external audits of GWEO-DD processes and procedures;
- Perform assurance checks on logistics procedures and make suggestions in line with continuous improvement;
- Coordinate data entry of spreadsheets and checklists for Logistics Governance activities;
- Demonstrate and apply knowledge in logistics legislation and policy to clarify governance matters; and
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.
The ideal candidate will possess skills and experience in problem solving, internal and external stakeholder engagement, common IT systems (ie: Microsoft Office series of applications) and logistics processes.
An ability to operate key logistics systems MILIS and COMSARM is highly desirable, or the ability to quickly acquire the knowledge/ability

Materiel Logistics is part of the GWEO-DD. Our team is based in Amberley and offers a support function to the GWEO-DD Systems Program Offices (SPOs) including data quality, centralised cataloguing, logistics systems access and security, compliance and assurance, disposal co-ordination activities and subject matter expertise.
