About the Role
You will maximise and enhance Jellinbah Group’s coal logistics function by ensuring efficient coordination and monitoring of coal supply chain operations.
Your role will be interesting and varied and will:
- Implement agreed logistics strategies for the Group’s coal networks with respect to budgeted and forecast future production, rail/ port utilisation and customer requirements.
- Oversee the Group’s daily coal chain operational activities of train loading, cargo assembly, rail scheduling, vessel scheduling, cargo quality forecasts and reconciliation.
- Ensure smooth information flow with the Marketing middle and back-office functions to facilitate effective sales planning, Logistics execution and sales administration support
- Participate in and contribute to projects and initiatives where necessary
- Implement agreed Marketing Plans including liaising with site personnel to ensure mine output matches coal chain constraints and participate in re-forecasting plans in accordance with production and logistics schedules
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders to increase satisfaction with the delivery of the logistics and marketing services.
- Contribute monthly marketing reports to the Senior Management Team, Board of Directors and Joint Venture and actively participate in weekly production and sales meetings.
- Represent the Company at industry coal chain forums and working groups and attend customer mine and coal port visits as required.
- Oversee regulatory coal testing program to ensure adherence to AMSA’s requirements for bulk coal cargo Transportable Moisture Limits (TMLs), spontaneous combustion and corrosivity.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bulk export commodity rail and port logistics experience, preferably in the Australian Coal industry.

- Ability to analyse and understand research and to identify relevant and valuable information.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

About the Company
Jellinbah Group is a privately owned and operated Queensland-based coal company. With a corporate Head Office based in Brisbane and two current operations in Central Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Our mines primarily produce metallurgical coal and have a combined production capacity of approximately 14Mtpa which supplies the key markets of Europe, India, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Brazil.
