Your New Role:
Reporting into the Head of Projects, you will be primarily responsible for managing multiple projects, meeting deliverables as well as managing the relationship with the client. In addition, responsibilities will include:
- Take full responsibility for projects from beginning to end, (including project plan & schedule, budget, stakeholder identification, Issues/Risk register & communication plans) ensuring the satisfaction of customer needs, budget requirements, and labour needs.
- Overseeing project execution across multiple projects
- Confront and resolving project issues openly and quickly
- Anticipate clients' needs and propose alternative business solutions.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Reporting on project status and performance
- The ability to display resilience, working through challenging situations and seeking alternatives.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple/detail tasks accurately
- Adaptability, showing initiative and responding quickly when situations change
- Great stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence or gain consensus between stakeholders.
- A technical background from a relevant discipline (e.g., Joinery or Industrial Design background)
- A positive attitude, willing to go the extra mile, an outstanding work ethic and have a strong passion to grow within the business
- Assist in managing the workload of Project Coordinators within the department
About You:
- Proven leader displaying excellent communication and people management skills including demonstrated experience leading a team of employees or site teams
- Experience in Retail Fit out Project Management or relevant building/trade background
- Professional, proactive, decisive, organised with excellent attention to detail
- Improvement and results orientated
- Effective time management and prioritisation to work productively in a fast-paced environment
- Good computer literacy (Excel Intermediate or Advanced, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively communicate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to manage and mentor in a collaborative and supportive manner.
- A positive attitude, willing to go the extra mile and a commitment to grow within the business.
- Willingness to travel as required.
