Maintenance Coordinator

Smile Solutions, "Melbourne's Home of Dentistry"™, is Australia’s largest and most commended dental practice, located in the magnificent Manchester Unity Building in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. We occupy four entire levels, plus the tower, all of which are of great significance within the art deco movement and Australia's national architectural heritage. We are a multidisciplinary practice, home to 60 practitioners, 20 of which are board registered specialists in the fields of oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics. In addition, our dental business is expanding, with our partner Core Dental Group branching out into practices across Victoria. 

We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Handyman to join our dynamic team in the Project and Facilities department. What the role entails:

• Roving general handyman works including, but not limited to, general repairs, globe replacements, painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, etc.
• Conduct audits and inspections across all sites.
• Complete all maintenance tasks that do not require engagement of contractors and are within the position holders training, qualifications, and expertise
• Carrying out routine & preventative maintenance works
• Working directly with the team, you will be the 'go to' person, so a positive attitude and ability to prioritise is a must

What you need for this role:

• Previous experience in either commercial property maintenance or dental service technician role
• Experience in carpentry or any other trade with handyman experience.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated to work alone
• Punctuality, well presented and a proactive 'can do' attitude
• Basic computer skills
• Commitment to be flexible & participate in afterhours call-outs
• Must be able to plan and manage their schedule
• Applicants must have a current driver's license
