Maintenance Coordinator

Immediate requirement for a short term Maintenance Coordinator working on Resources assets

Your new role 

Roster is 5:2 Mon - Friday FIFO or Local Surat Basin region. As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities. You’ll work closely with the Site Manager, trade teams, and various contractors to oversee maintenance activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with external contractors, including HVAC technicians, electricians, mechanical fitters and trade assistants.
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks, repairs, and upgrades.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Obtain necessary permits for maintenance and repair work.
• Keep accurate records of permits issued.
• Identify any safety hazards or compliance issues.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Create and issue work orders based on maintenance requests.
• Track work order status, update records, and close out completed tasks.
• Maintain organised documentation related to work orders.
• Generate POs for necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist with general site administration tasks, such as record-keeping, data entry, and communication.

What you'll need to succeed 

• Previous experience in maintenance coordination or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with contractors, site managers, and team members.
•  The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Thoroughness in documenting work orders, permits, and other administrative tasks.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical components, and general maintenance practices.
