SO4 are driving toward the production of world class Sulphate of Potash (SOP). Our Lake Way asset is in the Goldfields region of Western Australia, 15 kilometres south of Wiluna. We are entering an exciting new phase in our progress, as we will be into our production ramp-up in a few days.
SO4 is a fast-growing Perth based company, developing its clean, green Lake Way SOP Project, enabling sustainable food production.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent/Plant Manager you will work B2B on an 8/6 FIFO roster ex Perth to Wiluna or DIDO from the surrounding area. The position is ultimately responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of equipment and to lead the mechanical and electrical teams safely and compliantly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the maintenance team, providing mentoring and guidance to reach targeted outcomes and results.
- Delivery of best practice maintenance outcomes for the operation.
- Carry out inspections of assets to ensure functionality and identify and resolve issue.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies and schedules.
- Implementation of the Maintenance Management Plan for the operation including planned maintenance, inspection schedules, shutdown planning, statutory responsibilities, and reliability strategies.
- Execute planned maintenance activities including shutdowns to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Manage maintenance costs, avoiding rework and the unnecessary use of parts/services.
- Ensure the cost of shutdowns is budgeted and delivered in line with agreed budgets maintenance program.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Monitor and manage all contractor costs to ensure the best possible quality return on expenditure when engaging contractors to carry out work.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a candidate with minimum 3 years as Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent working within the mining industry with demonstrated experience in generating maintenance budgets and forecasts. You will have the ability to communicate with a confident and compelling message to a wide range of stakeholders.
To be successful you will have:
- An Australian recognised Engineering Trade Certificate - Mechanical, Fitting & Machining, Electrical or Fabrication Trades.
- Certificate IV Frontline management (desirable).
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s License.
- Advanced computer literacy and business software knowledge of CMMS systems and software.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
- Experience using Pronto on a proficient level.
- Working knowledge using Aconex (desirable).
- In-depth understanding of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
- Sound comprehension of maintenance methodologies.
- Solid grasp of the practicalities of risk management, dependability management, and maintenance strategies.
